Royal Flora Ratchaphruek 2011

The year 2011-2012 will be the great years for Thai people to commemorate three auspicious occasions: The 84th Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the King, The 80th Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty the Queen, The 60th Birthday Anniversary of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and The International Horticultural Exposition for His Majesty the King : ROYAL FLORA RATCHAPHRUEK 2011 (A Tribute to the Royal Perseverance) 14 December 2011- 14 March 2012 Chiang Mai, Thailand.
The aforementioned occasions as well as the awareness of global warming, which is now a days a serious problem of many countries all over the world, prompted the Cabinet to approve on 2 September 2008 the International Horticultural Exposition: The Royal Flora Ratchaphruek 2011.
The theme will be convened from the concept of 3Gs (Generation, Garden, Greenitude) and 3Rs (Reuse, Reduce, Recylcle) which has been conceptualized to educate the children and the youth, who are the future of the country, to love and care for nature, to teach them the importance of planting trees, appreciate the value of trees, and grow them with the sense of responsibility towards the green and healthy environment, to lift their spirits to protect the green planet and help solve the problem of global warming through reducing exploitation of energy resources by reusing and recycling.

Trang Underwater Wedding Ceremony 2012

The Trang Chamber of Commerce in association with the Trang Province, Trang Municipality Tourism Authority of Thailand as well as other participating local authorities and private sector organisations - have cooperatively launched the 16th Anniversary of "Trang Underwater Wedding Ceremony 2012" event to promote tourism opportunities in the province. The event will be held during 10-12 February 2012 at Trang, Thailand-one of the best Known sand beaches with the peaceful atmosphere. The project is aimed to further promote the truly spectacular natural seaside and marine resources - with the warm atmosphere of love giving to each other under the concept of "Romantic Destination", as well as the beauty of a symbolic flower of the province named "Sri-Trang", whose pale violet blossoms in season are pleasantly ubiquitous everywhere.

Wang Nam Keow Flora Fantasia flower festival

Venue : Wat Pa Pho Chalermprakiat Junction, T. Wangnamkeaw, A. Wangnamkeaw, Nakornratchasima.
The Horticultural Science Society Of Thailand in cooperation with state and private sector organizations, with support of the Tourism Authority of Thailand Nakhon Ratchasima office, will be jointly organizing the Wang Nam Keow Flora Fantasia flower festival from 20-22 January 2012.
The Wang Nam Keow district of Nakhon Ratchasima is known for its breathtaking natural beauty and provides the perfect setting for the Wang Nam Keow Flora Fantasia flower festival. This magnificent tapestry of floral art, the vertical gardens and floral labyrinth created from more than 200,000 potted plants and flower beds covers an area of 60 rai (9.6 hectares) and is set against the picturesque backdrop of a midst shrouded-valley. This promises to rival the floral magic seen at the various world-famous international flower shows. Top artists will also be taking part in the event and will be presenting floral works of art as impressive as the ones created with a paint brush. Additionally, a scenic vantage point provides the perfect spot for photography.
Wang Nam Keow is a particularly popular destination during these three months of Thailand’s cool season, especially with individuals and families who are health-conscious. It is the perfect place to be outdoors enjoying the sunshine, cloudless blue skies and fresh air.
Part of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Thai Red Cross Society for the construction of a new blood bank.
